These tattoos are easy to apply and can last 3 to 5 days with care. You clean the area with alcohol and let it dry. Then peel the protective covering off of the tattoo and press it to the cleaned area of skin (areas with less hair work best). Apply water to the paper backing until it is thoroughly wet (cotton balls work well for this). Hold the tattoo to the skin for about 60 seconds, then gently peel the paper away. If it is not peeling up easily, you need to wet the paper more. Once you have removed the paper, smooth over the tattoo with the wet cotton ball, and you are done. You can also use a hair dryer to heat set the tattoo once it is in place. This can help it to secure more firmly to the skin and last longer.
